John Paul Stanley was born and raised in California.
He currently resides with his wife in Auburn, California.
John grew up inspired by the great natural beauty that surrounded him. As a child he looked forward to vacations when he and his family would go camping and relax in the great outdoors. On these vacations John's dad would paint and soon John found drawing and painting a good way to express his love for nature and family. John's wife loves to express her artistic gifts through quilting. This has been another profound inspiration for John. John has worked professionally for over twenty years as a graphic designer and illustrator. His love for design and color as expressed in quilts, love for God, nature and family are the inspiration for this series of watercolor illustrations. All of these paintings include the family pet cat, Domino.
