Youth Outreach Ministry is a non-profit organization reaching out to youth. They wanted a site that was exciting and colorful, one that would appeal to a younger audience. In order to draw the attention of this younger audience the site was filled with Flash animation, large buttons, and rollovers. A large portion of the website that doesn't change was done in static HTML with Flash embedded. These portions include the bible stories and the good news tract. One of the major highlights of the site is the Yo! Devotional Calendar. It allows children to have a unique quiet time every day of the week. For the younger audience there is also a coloring page that is unique everyday. These devotionals are all stored in a database with a special back end for image uploading and devotional creation. The devotionals automatically become available on their specified day. This makes for a website that is constantly changing, allowing for a unique experience every time that draws the viewer back. All the beautiful artwork in the website was done by John Stanley. I did the programming for this website in a matter of hours.
