Without Merit is a Christian Band started by a couple of friends of mine. They wanted a site that would draw people in, giving their fans a chance to know more about them as well as giving professionals interested in them a chance to sample their music. The website is filled with almost surreal photographs of the band taken by David Heller that draw the audience in. Given time restraints and limited content it was decided to go with a simple site with basic linear navigation. The entire site is database driven using an Access database and Active Server Pages; this allows them to update shows and band news as often as needed. They can easily update their calendar, add to their bios, add new samples of their music, and add links to their next concert. This can all be done by logging into an administration back end of the site which gives them a simple GUI interface to make changes to the website. The best part about it was that it was built in one sitting in a couple of hours.
